AS Air Maintenance Estonia (AME) is Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Organisation, located in Tallinn, capital of Estonia. With around 160 employees, AME is relatively small but flexible and reasonably priced MRO in Scandinavian and European market. Since 2010 AME is fully owned by BaltCap the leading dedicated private equity and venture capital investor in the Baltic States.

AME offers aircraft maintenance services ranging from ad hoc to Base maintenance activities on Boeing 737 both Classic and NG, Line maintenance to different aircraft types and aircraft component maintenance. Supporting services are also provided, such as engineering, AOG services and 24hr customer service.

Ownership change in Air Maintenance Estonia

2010 has been a year of changes for Air Maintenance Estonia. After successful negotiations with the company owners SAS Tech AB the ownership of Air Maintenance Estonia AS was transferred to the leading Baltic private equity company BaltCap OÜ. This process will not evoke any changes in overall organization.

AME holds European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part-145 Maintenance Organisation Approval Certificate Reference No. EE.145.0102, Bermuda Department of Civil Aviation Maintenance Organisation Approval reference No. BDA/AMO/295 and Russian Federation Federal Air Transport Agency Permission Reference No. 03.03-1093.

AME maintains modern facilities are either constructed or thoroughly renovated in 2000, allowing for two maintenance lines. Our well-organized logistics support works in close co-operation with the Boeing Distribution Center in London and STS Component facilities in Stockholm and Copenhagen. Our favorable location at Tallinn Airport with frequent daily connections to Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki enables us to have any necessary spare part delivered to our maintenance base within hours. Customer Office is equipped with all modern communications and provides good visibility of docked aircraft

History:

Air Maintenance Estonia (AME) is 100% owned by BaltCap. AME employs qualified staff, trained i.a. in Boeing (Seattle), CFMI (Paris), Braathens and P&W (Stavanger), Maersk Air (Copenhagen), Finnair (Helsinki), Saab Aerotech (Linköping), Turkish Airlines (Istanbul), AMT (UK), AMIKON (Lithuania), International School of Aerospace NDT Ltd. (UK), Goodrich Wheels&Brakes (UK), Honeywell Wheels&Brakes, and acts in aviation MRO market, as approved provider of technical services ranging from ad hoc to Base maintenance activities on various types of aircraft and aircraft components.

AME is an independent maintenance organisation grown from the Technical Department of Estonian Air in 2002. Initially named Maersk Air Maintenance Estonia, later after being purchased by SAS Tech AB, named Air Maintenance Estonia in 2003. In 2010, after successful negotiations, the ownership of AME has been taken over by private equity company BaltCap.

Since 1995 AME has been maintaining B737 aircraft, in addition F50 since 1998 and Saab 340 since 2007; the maintenance organisation has been mastering all the intricacies of maintaining these aircraft and in 1999 was granted JAR-145 approval by Danish CAA (SLV 061). Currently AME is holding an EASA 145 approval.

In 2002 AME becomes an independent company and expands capabilities to Base maintenance on B737 aircraft and various components, carrying extensive maintenance contracts for Estonian Air and SAS B737 fleets.
