Summerdays
AME celebrated summer days on 9th to 10th of August on an island called Naissaar (Women's' island), which is 1-hour boat-ride away from Tallinn. The theme of the summer days was "Pirates" so the day was filled with joyful sportive games and competitions.
Interesting experience was an excursion around the island on a truck box. Naissaar (18,6 km2) is the 6th biggest Estonian island with only 1 permanent habitant. Because of its strategically important location the island has through centuries been used for military purposes by Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Estonia as well as the Soviet Union.
The most interesting rare sights on the island besides its unique wild nature are numerous depots of floating mines abandoned by the Soviet Union.
